All bodies are different, that’s why every single person is unique. Sometimes it is not easy to find the right clothes, fabrics and colors which are flattering. That’s the reason why this series „The Body Shape Bible“ will be published on my blog every week, to help you find the perfect clothing pieces for your body shape. As this is our first part of our „Body Shape Bible“ I will introduce you different body shapes and give you some celebrity examples.
The Slim/Slender Shape is slim with small breasts and hips. They have a toned body and narrow hips. This body type has square silhouettes. Most clothes look good on this body shape for that reason most fashion models fall into this category. Here we need to choose clothes which are adding curves and feminine softness.
The top heavy shape has a large bust with a defined waist and small hips. Here we need to choose clothing pieces which are bringing attention to the bottom half of the body to create balanced proportions.
The pear shape is defined by a small bust, curvy hips and is usually bottom heavy. Here we need to find clothes to create the illusion of a well-balanced figure. The best solution is to bring attention to the top half of your body.
The hourglass shape has medium to wide shoulders, fuller bust, defined short waist and curvy hips. This shape has even proportions on top and bottom half. Plus sized models usually adhere to this shape. Here we need to show case your figure to its best advantage with the right clothing pieces.
The apple shape usually has small shoulders, big breasts and a large tummy area and slim legs. This body shape is blessed with slim legs and arms. With the right clothing we need to bring the larger upper body with the lower half into proportion.
